About hypnotherapy

Hypnosis is not new. It has been used by many different cultures
for thousands of years. What they have in common is that they all
use altered states of consciousness to either relieve debilitating physical
symptoms or to find answers from within.

Hypnosis is a completely natural state of mind that most people experience every day i.e. whilst daydreaming, reading a book or watching a film.

Hypnotherapy is a pleasant feeling of deep relaxation. It enhances the
person’s concentration and imagination, increases their ability to access their subconscious mind, and allows positive mental, emotional or psychological changes to take place.

Answering the myths about Hypnotherapy

It is not possible to hypnotise a person against their will.

You cannot get ‘stuck’ in hypnosis, and you are in control throughout the process. You allow the therapist to work with you because you are motivated
to make positive changes.

Hypnotherapy is natural and safe, with no harmful side effects.
